ZOMBIES AND HEART (NOT BRAINS!) STAND AGAINST SCHOOL BULLYING

Indiana author Chad Hunter has released “Zack & the Zombie – No Bulliez Pleaze,” a children’s book designed to encourage empathy while addressing bullying in schools.  Within six months, Hunter has given presentations of the book and an open discussion to approximately one thousand Northwest Indiana elementary school students throughout the area.

“Bullying is not a new threat to kids,” states Hunter.  “And with the growth of technology, bully has jumped to life-threatening.  Something had to be done and reading this book to kids is a start.”

The author has a unique perspective on bullying.  He himself was bullied as a child.  “I know the isolation it causes.  I know the fear of going to school or having to see people who tear you down relentlessly.  The goal of the book and presenting is to give kids the idea, the hope that they’re not alone and they can talk to someone they trust.”

The oddly titled book focuses on an adventure of an unlikely duo - a boy who makes a stand against bullies and a green-skinned, kid-friendly zombie.  The story subtly promotes positive messages to students while simultaneously entertaining them.  “Zack and the Zombie – No Bulliez Pleaze” promotes kindness, empathy and safe routes towards standing against bullying.

“With the school’s teachers, faculty and guidance counselors, each reading gives kids a chance to feel open enough to tell a trusted adult about any bullying they’re experiencing.”

“Zack and the Zombie – No Bulliez Pleaze” is a fully illustrated, full-color, 54-page book suitable for ages pre-school to 4th grade.   “Zack and the Zombie – No Bulliez Pleaze” is available on Amazon for 12.99.
